ASH is offered as an additive to help create harder and faster-setting FAT LIME plasters, mortars, and concretes. This is a cost-effective and predictable ‘pozzolanic’ alternative to brick dusts/ surkhi aggregates.
Please refer to Mix B in our Field Manual for ratios and more. By weight, use ASH at no more than 1/3rd the weight of FAT LIME. Because ASH is produced from our own kilns as a by-product of burning limestone, none of its impurities will counteract the performance of the lime construction works.
